CANTON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – A 31-year-old Akron man will be sentenced next Monday after being found guilty in the shooting death of a Canton man back in May.
Daquan Rucker was convicted of reckless homicide after a jury trial last week.
He had initially been charged with murder.
Canton police say Rucker was in a gunfight with 45-year-old Larry Grimes Jr in a parking lot of the Skyview Terrace Apartments when 51-year-old Richard Poole of Canton got caught in the middle and was shot dead.
Trial for Grimes is set for January.
He’s charged with murder.
