REIDSVILLE, N.C. – A ten-year veteran of the SBI is recovering after being shot in Rockingham County. Rockingham County Sheriff’s deputies initially responded to a shots-fired call on Walker Street in Reidsville on Sunday. Deputies say when they arrived, suspect Marvin White shot at law enforcement and ran.
SBI agents tracking White found him hiding nearby. When ordered to drop his gun, they say White opened fire, hitting a special agent in the leg. The agent shot back and White was arrested.
The hurt agent is in stable condition. White remains behind bars facing multiple felony charges, including attempted first-degree murder.
